Mr. Henry Godwyll Coleman

Mr. Henry Godwyll Coleman holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biocomposite Technology from the University of Wales, Bangor (UWB) – School of Agriculture and Forest Sciences. In partial fulfilment of the requirements for the award of his MSc degree he submitted a dissertation on the “Analysis of Market Trends for Tropical Hardwoods from Ghana in the UK Market”.

More About Mr. Coleman

He also holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics, from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

He is well exposed to the International Tropical Timber Trade processes in Project Management and Timber Trade Statistics. He was appointed the International Tropical Timber Statistical Correspondent for Ghana from 1990 – 1995. He also served on the Panel of Experts for Technical Appraisal of Project and Pre-project Proposals responsible for reviewing and approving projects for the International Tropical Timber Organization, with its headquarters in Yokohama, Japan, from 2006 to 2009.

He served on the INTERPOL working group responsible for dealing with Forestry and Wildlife crimes, as Ghana’s representative from 2015 to 2017.

He is well exposed to International Timber Trade Promotion and Marketing, being part of Ghana’s delegation to the Far East, the Mediterranean, Middle East and North America- in particular the International Wood Products Association (IWPA) from 2012 to 2017.

On the domestic front, he was also engaged in a number of Timber Industry and Trade Studies and served on various Committees, most importantly the Steering Committee for the Voluntary Partnership Agreement, between Ghana and the European Union (EU) from inception to 2017.

He currently works independently as a Specialist in Marketing/Management in the Forestry and Timber Industry/Trade Sectors.
